Turin (Con't)

This city is known for its art nouveau, neo-classical, renaissance, and rococo architecture. Lots of the city squares, gardens, palaces, and castles were built during the 16th and 18th centuries. Turin is very well known for its fine schools and universities. It’s also the birth place of Italian cinema. In the 20’s and 30’s, Turin hosted several film productions and major film studios (film houses); in 1937, this industry moved to Rome. Currently, Torino is one of the main cinematographic and television centers in Italy, mainly due to the Turin Film Commission that reports the production of many feature films, soap operas and commercials. Today, their National Museum of Cinema is located in 19th century tower.
